I extend a very warm welcome from Lodge St. Andrew, No. 524 and I hope that your

visit to this website is as enjoyable as well as informative.

 

The main intention of this website is to keep the brethren within and out-with this lodge up to date

with the latest happenings of this lodge, as well as to provide information for any non-masons who

may be interested in Freemasonary. I would like to give a vote of thanks to Bro. J. N. MacDonald P.M.

for his efforts in setting up the original website, and Bro. M. Singh for the hard work involved updating

same.

 

I extend an invitation to any brother who is in the East Kilbride area to come and join us at one of our

regular meetings. I can assure you that you will be made most welcome by myself and by the brethren

of Lodge St.Andrew. Please check the syllabus page for dates and the degrees being worked.

 

On a personal note, I would like to thank the brethren of Lodge St. Andrew, for electing me as their

Right Worshipful Master this year. I feel honoured and privileged that the brethren of the lodge have

elected me as such, and I promise to work hard to promote the lodge wherever I visit and carry out

the duties of R.W.M. with the decorum, respect and enthusiasm that it requires.

 

2010 is a special year in the history of Lodge St. Andrew, as we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the

Lodge hall. The re-dedication ceremony, carried out with dignity and decorum by P.G.M., Bro. David Reid

and P.G. Office-Bearers, coupled with the celebration dinner which followed, was a very special day which

I know will live in the memory of all those who attended. Many thanks to the Secretary and committee for

organising same, and Wilma and her kitchen staff for all their hard work.

Lodge St. Andrew has a tremendous history behind it and I feel privileged and honoured to play my part.
